The Delco Remy 39MT, featuring the Maximum Torque Technology (MxT) utilizes a planetary gear design to deliver strong cranking power in a low weight package than traditional straight drive starter motors. The advanced MxT gear reduction system produces high torque to reliably start heavy duty vehicles equipped with large displacement engines. This design starter motor is ideal for On & Off road vehicles using large Diesel & gasoline engines. The 39MT is found on equipment made by Cummins, Volvo, Freightliner  & Mack among others.
