A CORELESS 39MT Reman is not “coreless” because the starter has no internal core/armature. The word coreless refers to the sales/core-return program. It does not mean the motor is a special coreless electric-motor design.

So, compared with a normal 39MT reman of the same specification, the coreless version is generally not chosen because it gives more torque, more cranking speed, or longer life. It is chosen because it avoids the core-return process.
