Overview
The Delco Remy 38MT is a gear-reduction starter engineered for medium and heavy-duty applications, available in both 12V (4.3 kW) and 24V (7.8 kW) configurations. It features electrical soft-start technology that gently rotates the pinion into mesh with the ring gear before applying full cranking torque, significantly reducing wear on both components. The 38MT handles engines up to 10L (12V) or 12L (24V) and is compatible with SAE #1 and SAE #3 mounting. An optional Over-Crank Protection circuit breaker guards against thermal damage from extended cranking.
