The 40SI is Delco Remy's high-output brushless alternator, delivering 240A to 320A at 12V with up to 190A available at idle. Its brushless construction eliminates brushes and slip rings, removing 13 moving parts compared to conventional designs for dramatically longer service life. The entire housing functions as a heat sink, and dual internal fans provide maximum cooling to sustain rated output in demanding underhood environments.
